1.What should we pay attention to in warehousing?
(1) The electrode and nipple should be stored
on a clean cement floor to avoid damage or adhesion to the soil;
If
it is not used for the time being, don’t remove the packaging to
prevent dust and debris from falling on the nipple thread or the end
face of the electrode and the internal thread of the electrode hole.
(2) It should be neatly stored in the warehouse, and the two ends of the electrode stack should be well padded to prevent the slip stack, and the stacking height of the electrode is generally not more than two meters.
(3) The stored electrode should pay attention to rain and moisture, so as to avoid cracks and accelerate oxidation of the electrode during steelmaking.
(4) Do not store the electrode joint near the high temperature to prevent the joint plug from melting and overflowing.
2.How to avoid electrode breaking and tripping during steelmaking?
(1) The electrode phase sequence is correct, and it is counterclockwise.
(2) The scrap in the steel furnace is evenly distributed, and the bulk scrap material is placed at the bottom of the furnace as far as possible.
(3) Avoid the presence of non-conductive materials in scrap steel.
(4) The electrode column is in line with the furnace top hole, and the electrode column is parallel, and the wall of the furnace top hole should be cleaned frequently to avoid the accumulation of residual steel slag and forcing the electrode to break.
(5) Keep the tilting system of the electric furnace in good condition to keep the tilting of the electric furnace stable.
(6) The electrode holder should avoid clamping at the electrode connection and the nipple hole.
(7) Select nipple with high strength and high precision.
(8) The torque applied when the electrode is connected should be appropriate.
(9)Prevent mechanical damage to electrode hole threads and nipple thread before and during electrode connection.
(10) Prevent steel slag or foreign matter from embedding on the electrode holes and nipples to affect the screwing.
Whether using a forklift or a crane to transport the electrode, it is necessary to carefully operate, in the electrode lifting process, the electrical extreme part and the thread are damaged will cause serious problems to the use of the electrode, especially to protect the thread hole and the thread of the joint. When lifting the electrode, there should be a pad to avoid damaging the electrode end face and the nipple thread.
